Tokei

Privacy Policy

Effective September 29, 2026

Tokei is a world clock app for iPhone made by the Tokei developer ("we"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Tokei and its widgets. The short version: Tokei does not collect, store or share any personal data.

Data we collect

None. Tokei has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no servers of its own. We cannot see who uses the app or how.

Data stored on your device

The cities you add, your home time zone, the time shift you set, your chosen theme and your sound setting are stored only on your device, in storage shared between the app and its widgets. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Deleting the app removes them.

Location

Tokei does not request or use your location. Your home time zone comes from your device's time zone setting, or from a zone you pick yourself.

Network access

Tokei connects to the internet only while the Weather theme is active and the app is open. It then downloads public weather model data (the NOAA Global Forecast System) directly from public open-data mirrors operated by:

These requests contain no personal information and no identifiers. Like any web request, the operator of the mirror can see your IP address and the time of the request, under that operator's own privacy policy. Downloaded weather data is cached on your device only.

Children

Tokei collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. If Tokei ever starts collecting data, this policy will say so before that version is released.
